The backstory
Zeplin existed to translate design files into measurements, colours and asset exports engineers could work from. Design-tool APIs and coding agents now let a developer point an assistant at the file and get real components back, skipping the spec document entirely. Figma also absorbed inspection and dev mode years ago. When the handoff step disappears, a handoff product has nothing left to sell.
