The backstory
Vercel is frontend hosting and deployment, the home of Next.js, built for shipping web apps fast. Agentic coders that build apps end to end sound like a threat, but every generated app still needs to be deployed somewhere. Vercel survived by turning the AI wave into demand: more AI-built apps means more deploys, and it shipped its own generator, v0, to capture the front of that funnel. It rides the wave instead of being drowned by it.
