NOT REALLY
why this verdict
Keep it — OpenAI has not replaced it
OpenAI's version overlaps, but does not finish the health job, so this one is still worth keeping open.
- A named launch, not a vibe named, unlinked
- General document AI and frontier vision models reading medical faxes competently. OpenAI, October 14, 2025 — no announcement link recorded yet.
- How much of the job it covers not the job editorial call
- Parts of it. The job still needs the tool to get finished.
- Is there a free way to do it? paid only
- 3 replacements listed, all paid.
- What the call is worth nothing to cancel
- No paid entry tier tracked, so there is no subscription to cancel.

The backstory
Tennr attacks one of healthcare's least glamorous facts: an enormous volume of referrals still arrives as a fax, and staff retype them into an EHR. It reads those documents, extracts the order, checks insurance eligibility and files it correctly. Frontier vision models read documents well in general, and the difference is in the last mile: knowing which payer needs which authorisation form, and integrating with the systems that will accept the result.
