The backstory
Snowflake stores and queries enterprise-scale analytical data with independent scaling of storage and compute. Google pushes BigQuery with Gemini writing queries and building pipelines in the console, which is a real competitive threat at the workload level. But that is a warehouse competing with a warehouse, not an AI feature erasing a category. Data gravity, governance, cross-cloud sharing and multi-year contracts keep customers where they are, and easier SQL grows query volume.
