The backstory
Riffusion began as a clever hack, generating music by producing spectrogram images, and later shipped a proper song generation app. It never matched the vocal quality and structure of the leading music models, and in a market where users pick by listening once, second best is fatal. There is no library, catalogue or distribution layer to fall back on. A research demo that could not become a habit.
