The backstory
Papermark is the open-source DocSend: share a pitch deck as a tracked link and see exactly which pages an investor lingered on, with self-hosting for anyone unwilling to put a confidential document in a third-party service. Dropbox owns DocSend and bundles it, which caps the market. The founder-led open-source approach won a devoted following among startups, and the data room product moved it into deal workflows where the tracking actually matters.
