why this verdict
Keep paying — OpenAI has not replaced it
OpenAI's version overlaps, but does not finish the finance job, so this one still earns its $15/mo.
- A named launch, not a vibe named, unlinked
- AI travel-planning chatbots can suggest itineraries but can't enforce corporate travel policy or book negotiated rates. OpenAI, February 11, 2025 — no announcement link recorded yet.
- How much of the job it covers not the job editorial call
- Parts of it. The job still needs the tool to get finished.
- Is there a free way to do it? paid only
- 3 replacements listed, all paid.
- What the call is worth $180/yr

The backstory
Navan, formerly TripActions, combines business travel booking with expense management so trips are booked inside policy and expenses reconcile automatically against the itinerary. A general AI assistant can suggest flights and hotels, but it has no access to a company's negotiated corporate rates, approval workflows, or duty-of-care obligations for travelers, all of which require an actual booking and payments infrastructure behind the interface.
