The backstory
Logseq is a free, open-source, local-first outliner for notes and knowledge management, popular with privacy-minded power users. AI note assistants threaten cloud note apps that charge for smart features, but Logseq keeps your data in plain files on your own machine and costs nothing. With no subscription to undercut and privacy as the whole selling point, AI is at most an optional add-on, so it survived untouched.
