The backstory
Ironclad is enterprise contract lifecycle management, handling how contracts are drafted, negotiated, approved, signed, and stored across a company. Claude can read and summarize a contract, but reading a document is a small slice of what legal teams need. Ironclad survived because CLM is workflow: approval routing, version control, compliance, and a system of record for every agreement. AI became a feature inside that workflow rather than a replacement for it.
