The backstory
Ideogram is an image generator known for one thing rivals long struggled with: rendering clean, legible text inside images, which makes it a favourite for posters, logos, and typographic graphics. GPT-4o and other native image tools generate pictures too, but reliable in-image typography and design-oriented controls remain a real differentiator. Ideogram survived by owning a specific, valuable weakness of the general models rather than competing head-on as a generic image maker.
