The backstory
Flowise made building a retrieval chatbot approachable for people who are not engineers, with a node canvas and an embeddable widget at the end of it. That accessibility built a large community. The squeeze is from both sides: technical users move to code for maintainability, and non-technical users increasingly find that a general assistant with file uploads does what they wanted without building anything, which removes the reason to learn a canvas at all.
