why this verdict
Keep paying — Google has not replaced it
Google's version overlaps, but does not finish the video job, so this one still earns its $20/mo.

The backstory
Flow is Google's attempt to give Veo a director's interface rather than a prompt box, with scene builder, camera controls, consistent characters across shots and native audio generation. Bundling it into Google One AI subscriptions put it in front of an enormous audience at close to zero marginal decision cost. Like Sora, it belongs on the causing side of this archive: a tool that generates a usable establishing shot with matching sound removes several line items from a small production budget at once.
