The backstory
Fireflies.ai joins your meetings to record, transcribe and summarize them, then makes the conversation searchable and syncs notes to your CRM. OpenAI's Whisper made accurate transcription cheap, and native meeting recaps now ship inside Zoom, Google Meet and Teams for free. That leaves Fireflies wounded: its solid CRM integrations, cross-platform search and conversation analytics still earn its keep, but the basic notetaking that was its headline feature is now built into the tools where meetings already happen.
