The backstory
DoNotPay marketed itself as a robot lawyer that drafts dispute letters, cancels subscriptions and fights fines. ChatGPT now writes the same demand letters and explains procedures for free, removing the paywall around templated legal text. Facing that plus regulatory scrutiny over practicing law, the paid wrapper lost its edge. With its core output free from any chatbot, the verdict is killed.
