The backstory
DocuSign is the standard for electronic signatures and agreement management, trusted for legally binding contracts across businesses. AI can read and summarize contracts, which sounds threatening, but reading is not signing. DocuSign survived because its product is legal validity: audit trails, identity verification, and compliance that hold up in court. AI analyzes the document; it does not notarize or bind it, so the trust moat holds.
