The backstory
ComfyUI is a free, node-based interface for image and video generation models, letting you wire up reproducible pipelines with fine control over every step. One-click hosted generators are easier, but they hide the controls that production work needs. ComfyUI survived precisely because prompt-and-pray is not enough for professionals: the graph gives repeatable, tweakable, controllable results. It is the opposite of a chat box, and that is the point.
