The backstory
Codacy aggregates linters, coverage and security checks into a quality gate on every PR. That aggregation is genuinely useful for teams juggling five languages. But GitHub now reviews pull requests natively with Copilot, and Advanced Security covers much of the scanning, so the reason to add a third-party gate keeps narrowing to compliance reporting.
