The backstory
Cleanup.pictures did inpainting well and cheaply, letting anyone brush out a photobomber without opening Photoshop. It is the clearest example in this archive of a single-feature tool being absorbed by the platform: Google Photos has Magic Eraser, iPhones have Clean Up, Samsung has its own, and every editor ships generative fill. A tool whose entire product is one operation cannot survive that operation becoming a default gesture on the device.
