The backstory
ChatGPT Writer was a browser extension that added a GPT-powered draft button to Gmail and other inboxes before that was standard. Now Gmail drafts email with Gemini and Outlook with Copilot, both natively inside the compose window with full access to the thread. When the exact feature ships for free inside the app you already use, a bolt-on extension has almost no reason to exist, which is why this one is killed.
