Asana is enterprise work management: projects, tasks, dependencies, portfolios and reporting that whole companies coordinate through. Agentic assistants can now draft plans and chase updates, threatening lightweight task apps. Asana survived by shipping its own AI teammates and because the moat was never the drafting; it is the structured workflows, approvals, cross-team reporting and the org's data all living in one system that an assistant would have to plug into anyway.
