The backstory
Amazon's developer assistant — the descendant of CodeWhisperer — is genuinely useful when the question is about IAM policies, CDK constructs or a Java upgrade across an AWS estate. Outside that, general-purpose coding agents write better code and integrate with more of the toolchain. Wounded: it survives inside AWS shops as a licence line item, not as a tool developers choose.
