The backstory
Aftershoot learns a photographer's editing style and applies it across thousands of images, plus culls duplicates and blinks. It was an early mover, but auto-culling and style matching are now creeping into mainstream raw editors as built-in features. Aftershoot is still faster and more specialised for high-volume event work. The risk is that its whole product becomes a checkbox in the tool photographers already pay for.
